We’re happy to announce our Building Neighborhoods Fund third quarter awardee: The Tool Library! 

An Introduction  

The Tool Library is located on Main St. at the Vernon Pl. triangle. It has been a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and Main St. as a whole.

To contrast the once thriving Main St. small businesses with today’s vacant storefronts can be disheartening. Thus, we are so glad to see The Tool Library, with its bright, inviting façade, is bringing some much needed good energy to Main St.  

The Inspiration

Flipped Realty co-founder, Vanessa Glushefski had this to say: 

“When The Tool Library came to its current location, inviting the neighborhood to borrow tools, empowering them to beautify their spaces, I felt nothing but inspired. Therefore, it is truly an honor to be able to contribute funds to phase one of their capital campaign, the success of which will enable them to continue to be an anchor for the neighborhood.” 

Darren Cotton, The Tool Library’s Executive Director, plans to do just that, saying: 

“We’ve been helping people across WNY build and fix their homes for over a decade. Now, thanks to the generosity of supporters like Flipped Realty, The Tool Library can buy our home on Main Street, officially plant our roots, and continue to share the tools our neighbors need for years to come.”
